With my Spring Break this year I wanted to get some kiting in and having just found out my buddy had an X-Star I knew that would be in use too! But won’t have guessed we would have chased the wind to the places we did! Awesome crew of riders along the way! Can’t complain about this Spring Break!
All shot on the GoPro so make sure to watch it in HD 🙂
Just signed on with Hobie Polarized! Really stoked to be with a company that has been in the Watersport industry since the beginning. Being out in the sun all day can really burn out your eyes wether I’m kiting, teaching, suping, or just hanging at the beach quality sunglasses are a must have item for me!
I’ve been wearing the Olas and the Escondido model which totally rock! All of Hobie’s sunglasses come with Polycarbonate HydroCleanâ„¢ polarized lenses ready to keep up with you on the water. Hobie also pushes that there sunglasses come with a Friendly Lifetime Warranty! Can’t go wrong with that! I have worn many other brands of sunglasses but none of them quite keep up with Hobie’s on the water performance and design. Go grab a pair yourself and see what the hype is all about!
Just finished up on a little edit from a few days of riding around the St.Pete area. Its that footage that you shot but its not the best but you don’t want to just sit on it… So had to do something with it
The Video was All shot with my Camrig Line Mount and then on my Pole Mount out in the water! Check it out! More quality to come soon as my buddy just got in a new Canon 7d.
Mutiny Kites has just released the new S-Series! One of the first kites that I’ve jumped on and have felt totally dialed in on, riding waves, teaching, freestyle… it did it all well. Waves is where it truly shines though! And I’m the only guy in the US to have my hands on them right now, so come and try one down in Florida. First orders will be available in the next few weeks. I’ll be traveling around Florida with this surf kite and the rest of the range of Mutiny Kites. Hit me up if you want to try the kites or if you have some interest in your area and I’ll come run a Demo at your local spot!
Check out the Press Release on the new S-Series!
Local Florida Ripper Aaron McClearnon Killing it on the new S-Series
Just flipping through the pages of the recent The Kiteboarder Magazine and saw one of my shots was in it from my time out in the Gorge this summer! Stoked to finally get something in this Magazine 🙂 Big thanks Jim Stringfellow for floating around to get this shot, and The Sweeting’s for making this trip happen!
Go grab the new mag from one of your local kite shops if you haven’t seen it yet!
Been playing around with some new mounts and the new Hero2 from Gopro that I got in from Camrig recently. If you don’t have these mounts yet for your Gopro or Contour check them out. It really offers a lot of new angles and ways to see yourself kiting. No need to make your poor mate stand in the cold again 🙂
Here are a few shots from a quick AM session at the Sunshine Skyway.
Weekend is looking windy! Look for a new edit to drop soon
Wanted to fill in everyone on the final day of competition at The Jupiter Kite Invasion! Sunday was the day for wind and the forecast was lining up to blow and it was looking promising! Heats where ready to begin starting by 10 AM and planning on going till dark! Full day of kiting, what could be better!Â
Wind started out light in the morning making it hard on the freestylers, as the day went on the wind started to build for the Pro heats. Watching the guys from the DR throw down was amazing! It shows what a lot of water time and dedication can do! As the wind continued to build so did the waves just in time for the strapless wave riding contest. I won several of my heats and made it to the Semi’s against Hyperflex Wetsuits teammate Jeremy Lund and other local ripper Johnny. We all had a great heat but the locals took me out here and made for a great heat in the finals joined with the winner Jupiter local Matt Collins.
Couldn’t have asked for a better event besides a little more wind here and there!

Looks like a windy weekend much less week of wind down in the Keys. I’ll be heading down to Islamorada to do some kiting with friends and shooting some video! I’ll have the whole lot of Mutiny Kites with me if anyone wants to jump on a new kite and see what we are all about!
Saturday looks like the perfect Downwinder day so if you see the Mutiny Kites in the sky come jump in on a DW from Whale Harbor to Anna’s Beach with us!
Recently moved up to the USA Hyperflex Wetsuits Team! Can’t be more excited to be involved with such big names in the surf and kite industry. Super stoked to now be rocking the new Team Suits and AMP-3 Wind Suits.
Hyperflex has been my wetsuit of choice from the beginning so its great to now have their full support behind me!
Check them out if you need a new suit, shoot me a message if you have any questions about the suits. Bro Deals? 🙂
Got my profile up on the Team page now check it out HERE
Just giving everyone a update on The Jupiter Invasion! Unfortunately its has yet to be windy …
First day was still a lot of fun with Jimmy Lewis Sups out there and a few other brands with boards to demo making for a fun time with no wind! Luckily for me KTS Kiteboarding hooked me up with a a Sup to bring over to use, so all the time I want on one. With only a puff of wind that came through around midday I only got about a 10 min ride in behind a kite… But thanks to the Sups we got to do a Standup contest and I won a few heats in that so not to bad for only being on one a few times in the waves!
Second day was more lack luster then the first with no real hope in wind. Got out for another quick Sup so I guess that will be my new sport 😉
Tomorrow is looking a lot better for wind and some waves so can’t wait to see what it delivers! Will give you the update after it followed up with some pictures from the event!
Huge thanks to my sponsors for getting me here Mutiny Kites and Hyperflex, also big thanks to Scott Peterson for hooking me up and making for a fun time while I’m here!
